About Swimbird

Swimbird is a fintech company building SWIP — a modern portfolio management platform used by banks, asset managers, family offices, and investment firms across the Nordics.

We help our clients get a complete, real-time view of all their holdings, from listed equities to private equity and alternative assets.

We are a passionate, technology-driven team that believes great culture and great products go hand in hand. We move fast, use the best tools available, and are always focused on delivering real value to our clients.

About Swimbird NEST

NEST is Swimbird’s integration platform — the engine that makes SWIP possible.

It aggregates data from multiple external sources (primarily financial institutions), then transforms, maps, and cleans that data into a structured, reliable format for downstream consumption.

NEST supports both intraday transaction and position feeds, and is at the forefront of Swimbird’s AI-driven development roadmap.

We are now looking for an integration engineer to join the NEST team and take a hands-on role in building and evolving this platform.

The Role

As an integration engineer on the NEST team, you will sit at the intersection of financial data, engineering, and automation.

You will work closely with raw data feeds from financial institutions and have end-to-end responsibility for turning messy, real-world financial data into clean, structured records that the rest of the platform depends on.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Mapping raw financial records to structured, validated formats
  • Building and maintaining automated pipelines for mapping, testing, reconciliation, and monitoring
  • Developing fullstack tools that improve workflows for both end users and the internal team
  • Investigating and resolving data discrepancies across financial instruments
  • Supporting clients and internal stakeholders on data-related questions
  • Continuously deepening your knowledge of financial instruments — both listed and unlisted

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Master’s degree in IT, software development, mathematics, finance, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in IT or finance
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Python
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (especially PostgreSQL)
  • Genuine interest in IT, AI, microservices, and financial systems
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)

A Strong Plus

  • Fullstack experience, particularly with Angular
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code)
  • Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD workflows

Who You Are

  • You take ownership and work independently
  • You enjoy solving complex problems and digging into messy data
  • You are curious about financial markets and want to understand them deeply
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You care about quality — clean data, clean code, clean processes
  • You want to grow alongside a fast-moving product and team

What We Offer

  • A technically challenging role with a steep learning curve
  • Deep exposure to financial instruments and wealth management
  • A small, tight-knit team where your work has real impact
  • A modern tech stack with a strong focus on AI-driven development
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Central Stockholm office
