Student Position: Data Engineer at Swimbird – Building the Future of Financial Data Platforms

About the Role

At Swimbird, we’re developing NEST, a platform that aggregates and analyzes financial data from banks and other financial institutions. We use AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to map, structure, and code data more intelligently, but a solid understanding of the underlying code is just as important.

You’ll get to work closely with cutting-edge technologies such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) and explore how modern AI tools can enhance data processing and software development.

As a student, you’ll start with simpler tasks in data handling and coding. As you learn and grow, you’ll take on more responsibility and contribute to more complex parts of the system.

Who We’re Looking For

• You are currently a student, preferably at an advanced level (e.g., bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, information technology, or equivalent)
• You have a strong interest in programming, ideally with experience in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
• You’re curious about AI, LLMs, and MCP, and how they can be applied in real-world systems
• You’re also interested in finance, though no formal education in it is required
• You enjoy learning new things, working methodically, and thinking analytically
• You are potentially interested in continuing to work with us after graduation
